Some things in Life are more important than Life itself.

Truth. Honour. Integrity.

Love.

…all of which requires Courage.

–

“They triumphed over him
    by the blood of the Lamb
    and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.”

Revelation 12:11

–

So to Faith,

add Courage,

to produce Action,

without which Faith is dead.

–

“By this everyone will know

that you are my disciples,

if you love one another.”

John 13:35

–

The first rule

has always been this:

Love.

–

And Life is but an object,

unworthy of Love.

For what is Life,

but a brief and passing opportunity

to Love.

–

So cling not to Life

at the expense of Love,

for Love is more important

than Life itself.

–

“For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish

but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

–

And Love gives away its very Life,

instead of keeping it,

even as Man gives Himself and his Life away

for the ones He loves.

–

“And he died for all,

that those who live

should no longer live for themselves

but for him

 who died for them and was raised again.”

2 Corinthians 5:15

The essence of Living

is Loving

and Giving.

Live to Love.

“Love is patient,

love is kind

 It does not envy

 it does not boast,

it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others,

it is not self-seeking,

it is not easily angered,

it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil

but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,

always trusts,

always hopes,

always perseveres.

Love never fails.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
